Butwal. Four Congress leaders from Dang who were accused of not cooperating with the party's official candidate in the House of Representatives election have been acquitted.
The Central Disciplinary Committee of the Nepali Congress acquitted Dang's Raju Khanal, Prachanda Vikram Neupane, Khagraj Pandey and Pragyan Neupane of the charges of violation of discipline.
The committee had earlier sought an explanation from them. The leaders clarified that the allegations leveled against them were baseless and untrue and that they were not involved in any activity against the party.
It was mentioned in their explanation that they have been faithfully fulfilling their assigned responsibilities according to the party's policy and directives.
The Central Disciplinary Committee's meeting held on August 18 decided to acquit the charges after studying the explanations submitted by the leaders and the documents attached to the related missile.
In the letter signed by the secretary of the disciplinary committee, Dinesh Thapamgar, it is stated that they will be acquitted of the charges against them. The committee has informed the Nepali Congress Lumbini Province Working Committee and Dang District Working Committee about the decision.
Yogendra Choudhary from Dang Region No.1, Kiran Kishore Ghimire from Region No.2 and Deepak Giri from Region No.3 were Congress candidates in the House of Representatives election held on February 21, 2082.
