Kathmandu. South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun arrived in Nepal on Saturday during a three-day visit.
During the visit, he will meet with his Nepali counterpart Shishir Khanal.
In the meeting, it is said that Nepal's efforts in search and rescue of missing South Korean citizens after the floods and landslides in Rasuwa will be discussed.
Nine citizens of South Korea who were working at the construction site of the hydropower project went missing in the severe floods and landslides that occurred in Rasuwa on August 10. Among the missing are six employees of Dosan Energy and three employees of Korea South-East Power Company.
Minister Cho will ask for cooperation from the Nepali side to make search and rescue operations more effective. In addition to meeting with the families of missing Korean citizens, he is also scheduled to discuss the restoration of the flood-affected areas and issues of bilateral interest.
