Kathmandu. Captain Bharat Khawas, who was engaged in the search and rescue of citizens after the disastrous flood from Tibet on 10th September, has been promoted. He was promoted to major on Friday.

Khawas is said to have been promoted regularly. From the Nepal Police Club, he was able to become an official cadet when he joined the Nepal Army.

Lately, Khawas has been playing football for the Tribhuvan Army Club and the national team. After the devastating flood, he has been deployed in Trishuli, Nuwakot for rescue.
