Nuwakot. With the aim of providing ease of communication to flood affected families, Suvisu has provided free Wi-Fi internet service to various relief camps and affected communities in Nuwakot.
Suvisu has provided free Wi-Fi service for more than 200 flood affected people who are taking shelter in the disaster relief camp of Bhairum Secondary School located in Vidur Municipality-8, Hattigowda, so that they can stay in touch with their families and relatives and exchange necessary information. The service was launched in coordination with the principal of the school Shivram Shrestha and social worker Ramesh Shrestha.
Shivram Shrestha, the principal of Bhairum Secondary School, said that the free Wi-Fi service provided by Suvisu has made it easy for the affected people in the relief camp to stay in touch with their families and relatives. He said that the support provided by keeping in mind the communication needs of the affected families during the disaster is important.
Social worker Ramesh Shrestha said that communication is very important during a disaster and said that the free internet service has greatly helped the flood victims in the relief camp to stay in touch with their relatives.
Similarly, considering the communication needs of the flood-affected families and citizens taking shelter, Suvisu has provided free Wi-Fi internet service at Chandra Jyoti Secondary School located in Vidur Municipality-5, Pipaltar.
According to the principal of Chandra Jyoti Secondary School, Basudev Pangeni, around 300 to 400 people who are taking shelter in the school and affected by the disaster have been provided free Wi-Fi service. He said that the service made it easier for the affected families to stay in touch with their families and relatives.
According to Suvisu, internet services play an important role in keeping the affected communities in constant contact as communication is not only a facility but also a necessity during a disaster.
