Rupandehi. The team deployed from the Lumbini Province Police Office has arrested five Nepalese nationals and six people including the pit manager of the casino while gambling at Kalinga Casino located in Siddharth Nagar Municipality-10 of Rupandehi.

On the basis of information that Nepalese nationals had entered the casino and were gambling, the police team checked the casino and detained them this evening.

Those arrested are Narayan Gharti of Myagdi, Roshan KC and Sudeep Acharya of Kaski, Ramu Shrestha and Chandra Prasad Shrestha of Rupandehi. Similarly, the casino's pit manager, Paras Bhatia from Haryana, India, has also been detained, police said.

Lumbini Province Police Office Chief Deputy Inspector General of Police Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri informed that based on the information that Nepali citizens were gambling in the casino, a police team was mobilized and necessary investigation and action was taken.

According to him, the arrested persons have been sent to Ward Police Office Bhairawa, Rupandehi for further investigation and legal action.

Lumbini State Police Office has continued to monitor and take action on gambling and illegal activities that are against the prevailing laws in casinos and other areas.
