Structures built over years were demolished. Several physical structures were destroyed and many people's lives were also affected.
Bik said that the incident on the 24th has brought the movement to a painful situation. He says that the issue of whether the government formed from it has been able to protect the achievements of the movement has now become a big challenge.
She also expressed serious concern over Gangalakshmi Devi Basnet's attempt at self-immolation on the occasion of Genji Martyr's Day. She said that it is a serious matter that the victims and those injured in the movement still do not get justice and treatment.
Why has an environment been created that leads people to commit suicide today? Why the wounded were not treated, why the dreams of the martyrs could not come true?' asked Bik.
She said that there is a need for an impartial inquiry into who is responsible for the arson and vandalism of structures such as Singha Durbar on August 24. He demands that the reality of the incident should be brought out when even the parties participating in the protest are saying that they cannot take responsibility for the incident on August 24.
Bik criticized the government saying that although the National Human Rights Commission had prepared a report in this regard, it was not made public.
