20 August, Surkhet. 168 people of Karnali province are still without contact due to the flood that came from Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa to Trishuli river.
According to SSP Santosh Singh Rathore, Spokesperson of Karnali Pradesh Police Office, 248 people have been uncontacted from the districts of Karnali Pradesh, out of which 78 people have been contacted so far. According to the police, two people have died among those who have no contact.
The deceased have been identified as 20-year-old Ayush Khadka of Bagchaur Municipality-10 Pipalneta in Salyan and Nahkul Sharma of Tajakot Rural Municipality-2 in Humla, police said. Sharma Rasuwa is an officer of customs office.
Lots of contactless phrases
According to the police, 63 people from Jumla are the most out of contact. Then there are 51 people from Salyan, 15 from Surkhet.
Similarly, 11 people from Mugu, seven from Rukum West, 6 each from Humla and Kalikot, five from Dailekh, 2 each from Jajarkot and Dolpa are without contact, police said.
There are 143 men, 26 women and four girls among those without contact.
