The impact of the Bhotekoshi flood was not limited to Kahar Rasuwa and Nuwakot. 16 people in the district are still without contact after the flood in Bhotekoshi river on 10th of August.
Among those who went to Bhotekoshi for work, families are waiting on the road in hope of missing relatives after the flood.
Most of the 16 people who have lost contact due to the flood have poor family financial conditions. District Police Chief and Superintendent of Police Fadindra Prasai informed that 16 people are missing, including nine from Tamankhola Rural Municipality, two from Dhorpatan Municipality, one from Galkot Municipality and two engineers and two children from Baglung Municipality who were working at Trishuli-3 'B' hydropower project in Nuwakot.
According to Jhak Bahadur Budha, Ward President of Tamankhola Rural Municipality-3, the family was completely dependent on 50-year-old Dal Prasad Budha and Sanjay Sripali of the ward who disappeared in the flood.
Dalprasad had a nine-year-old son, a daughter and wife, 22-year-old Sanjay's parents and siblings who were dependent on them. Now their families are waiting for the way, said the ward president.
Ward president Budha Dalprasad and Sanjay are in the flood-affected area for rescue. Ward President Jhak Bahadur, who reached Rasuwa along with village chairman Joklal Budha to rescue his citizens, said that the search was continuing for the eighth day and the hope of finding them safe was fading.
"The missing relatives are looking at the road, there is still hope that those lost in the flood will be found safely", Ward President Jhak Bahadur said. Everyone's economic situation is weak, everyone had reached Rasuwa to work in hydropower to support their families. The challenge is how to manage a family that is difficult to wake up in the morning (in the evening).
The family situation of Bhim Bahadur Chantyal and Khadk Bahadur Chantyal of Tamankhola-2 Bongkhani is also the same.
After the disappearance of 37-year-old Bhim Bahadur, who was supported by a large family including his wife, disabled parents, son, and siblings, the family was hit by thunder.
Similarly, the chief administrative officer of Tamankhola Rural Municipality, Amit Pariyar, said that the 52-year-old Khadk Bahadu is running a family with elderly parents, wife and children.
Only three people from Ward No. 1 of Tamankhola have gone missing due to floods. Around 37-year-old Padam Bahadur Gharti Magar, 32-year-old Indra Kumar Vick and 22-year-old Vishnu Gharti Magar are missing.
Padam has a wife, children aged 13 and seven. Administrative Officer Pariyar said that Indra's wife and children aged 11 and eight and Vishnu's wife, son, parents and brother are also dependent on him.
58-year-old Lata Kami of Ward No. 4 has two small children and a physically weak wife.
Ward President Chhaprasad Sripali said that the wife, three children, mother and brother's family of Bhim Bahadur Wik of the same ward are also dependent on him. The dependent families are still waiting for the disappearance.
Ward President Tilak Pun said that Bejendra Gharti of Dhorpatan Municipality-4 is also in poor financial condition.
According to him, 23-year-old Gharti, who is in poor financial condition, came to Rasuwa to work in hydropower to support his family. 20-year-old Tul Bahadur Sunar of Dhorpatan-9 also has the same family situation.
The family is in mourning after 27-year-old Ramesh Sunar of Galkot Municipality-2, who went to Rasuwa's Upper Trishuli Hydropower to work only a week ago, went missing in the flood.
Ramesh's family, whose economic condition is very poor, consists of elderly parents, wife, two children and a brother.
Ward president Him Bahadur Bhandari said that Ramesh, who was raising his family by working, went missing and the family was scared.
"It has been seven days since he went missing in the flood, we have not given up hope that he will be found safe," said Ward President Bhandari, "If Ramesh is not found safe as we thought, the family will be upset."
Baglung municipality-9 Tityang, the family is in mourning when four members of the same family went missing in the flood.
Rajesh Sharma Paudel, a 33-year-old engineer, his wife Pramila Pathak, a 31-year-old engineer, and two children Aditya Sharma Paudel and Aditi Sharma Paudel, four years old, are missing.
