Lalitpur. Manmaya Maharjan, a 106-year-old senior citizen of Lalitpur metropolis, passed away on Friday morning.
According to Manmaya's grandson Vikram Maharjan, she was ill for a few days. Manmaya has one son and two daughters.
Chiribabu Maharjan, the head of Lalitpur Metropolis, offered floral tributes to Manmaya's mortal body.
Mayor Maharjan expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and requested patience.
Last year, the Metropolitan Corporation organized a program in special honor of Manmaya Maharjan.
Mayor Maharjan said that the experience and knowledge of senior citizens will be the important material of the new generation and said that it is everyone's duty to protect it.
