Kathmandu. The Special Court has ordered that one of the four accused of misappropriating the funds of Himalayan Reinsurance Limited and laundering the assets will be sent to prison and the other three will be released on bail.

On Thursday, the bench of court members Narayan Prasad Poudel, Hemant Rawal and Dilliratna Shrestha ordered the defendant Amit More to be sent to jail for trial. In the case of More, two members of the bench gave an opinion that he should be sent to jail, while Judge Hemant Rawal had a different opinion saying that he should be released on bail of Rs 1 crore.

Similarly, the court has decided to release the other three defendants on bail of lakhs of rupees. According to which, Rajiv Mor has been given a bail of Rs 1 crore, Deepak Kumar Shrestha Rs 50 lakh and Sumer Shamsher J.B.R. Rs 25 lakh.

They are accused of having used the amount of Himalayan Reinsurance amounting to 2 billion 73 crore rupees through a broker for the benefit of other people and illegally laundered assets. Although the defendants denied the offense by saying that they had implemented the institutional decision, the court issued such an order based on the evidence immediately received.
