Rasuwa Necessary materials have been distributed with the aim of providing immediate relief to the families affected by the devastating floods and landslides in the Bhotekoshi River.

At the request of Uttargaya Rural Municipality, the financial support of Lischa Himalaya EV and the management of Ekta Nepal for sustainable development, the necessary relief materials were administered on Saturday for 250 affected families and 50 pregnant women and infants.

The rural municipality said that after the huge loss of life and property in the coastal area due to the flood, as well as the loss of human life and the destruction of physical structures, assistance was requested to meet the immediate needs of the affected families and the materials were received.

The relief package includes food items such as rice, pulses, chickpeas, gram, salt, cooking oil, turmeric, spices, sugarcane. Similarly, there are utensils, buckets, soap, manjans and brushes, sanitary pads, portable solar sets, torch lights, living water, blankets and blankets and other daily essentials.

Anil Paudel, project manager of Ekta Nepal for sustainable development, said that materials including lactogen milk, maternity gowns, palatine cloth, jawano, fenugreek and rice flour have been arranged separately for pregnant women and babies.

Village Chairman Madhav Prasad Aryal expressed his commitment to deliver the relief materials to the affected families in an efficient and transparent manner.
