New Delhi. In India's Uttar Pradesh, at least 7 people died when houses and walls collapsed due to rain. Due to the continuous rains, the water level in various rivers has risen, creating a flood situation. Due to floods and inundation, water has entered houses and shops, while employment has been affected, making life difficult for local residents.

More than 250 families living on the banks of the river are at risk after the water of the Mandakini river reaches the ghats and roads in Chitrakut. 35-year-old Kallu Yadav and his two children died when a mud wall and roof collapsed in Barach village. It is reported that two women died in Sitapur, one girl in Bahraich and one person in Barabanki.

In Kanpur, there has been a flood situation in 10 areas after the rise in the water level of Pandu river. Around 25 families trapped in water in Gopalpuram and Jarauli Phase-II have been safely rescued by the NDRF team. About 34,000 people have been affected by the flood in various areas of Kanpur.

The flood of Sarayu river is spreading in Ambedkarnagar, Barabanki, Ayodhya and Bahraich. In the settlement, the Saryu water has reached 11 cm above the danger level. The water level of the Ganges in Varanasi has also reached the danger level.

All the ghats have been submerged and some people have been forced to leave their homes and live in camps due to the overflowing water in the Varuna river.
