Kathmandu. On the 10th of August, the number of people who died due to the flood in the Bhotekoshi river of Rasuwa has reached 1,259, while 5,833 people are still without contact.
75 million was sent to the local level, how much to which? The meeting of Monsoon Response Command Post has decided to send an additional 6.75 million rupees to 15 local levels in various districts affected by Bhotekoshi flood for disaster management.
The meeting held at the office of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority decided to provide the funds to 15 local levels in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Tanahun. According to the "Disaster Management Fund Operation Procedure, 2079", this amount will be provided as immediate relief to the concerned local level through the District Disaster Management Committee.
According to the authority, among the four local levels of Rasuwa district, Rs 1 crore will be sent to Gosainkund rural municipality, Rs 75 lakh to Uttargaya rural municipality, Rs 30 lakh to Kalika rural municipality and Rs 20 lakh to Amachhodingmo rural municipality.
Similarly, Nuwakot's Vidur Municipality has been allocated Rs 15 million, Belkotgarhi Municipality Rs 75 lakh, Tarakeshwar Rural Municipality Rs 50 lakh and Kispang Rural Municipality Rs 25 lakh. 30 lakhs will be provided to Galchi Rural Municipality of Dhading and 20 lakh rupees to Siddlake, Gajuri and Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality
The meeting also decided to send funds to Gandaki Rural Municipality of Gorkha and Devghat and Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality of Tanahun at the rate of 20 lakh rupees each. According to the decision made by the 35th meeting of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Executive Committee held on August 11, this additional amount has been allocated on the basis of damage. The amount will have to be spent by the local level on disaster management and relief distribution.
