Bhojpur. After the sighting of venomous Goman snakes in the rural areas of Bhojpur, the locals are panicking. Locals have said that a cow snake has been seen in Hongrayo of Rural Municipality-3 Marse and Arun Rural Municipality-5 Yaku in Pauwadung recently.
According to Santosh Koirala, a resident of Rural Municipality-3 in Pauwadung, the local residents have become alarmed after seeing a Goman snake in Marse village. He said that the fear of snakes has increased among the locals who do farming and go to the forest and fields to cut grass.
"We have not seen such a snake in the past years", he said, "now the Goman snake has started to be seen in our villages as well. This has increased the fear in the villages." He informed that snake expert said that the snake found here is Goman.
He said that when snakes started appearing in the fields and bushes during the farming season, the locals had to be more careful. Since the bite of a venomous snake like Goman can be a serious health risk, the locals are demanding that public awareness and treatment of snakebite should be made effective in rural areas.
