On Wednesday, August 10th, at around 6 am, 14 pilgrims from Udaipur who were living in different parts of Kathmandu walked through Kathmandu for Gosainkunda darshan. Indraraj Karki (Janardan) of Triyuga Municipality-7, Chuhade, led the team which went for darshan, strolling and having fun on Janaipurnima, which falls on 12th August, two days later.

The driver of the vehicle with 14 passengers was 32-year-old Surendra Amatya from Trishuli. An electric vehicle (EV) from Kathmandu Koteshwar reached Trishuli in two hours. In other words, they reached Trishuli around 8:10 am.

The passengers were trying to go straight away, but the driver stopped the vehicle at the charging center in Pulpari saying that the vehicle had low charge. After it took about half an hour to charge the vehicle, the passengers started walking around the market, taking photos and videos. While returning after charging the vehicle, some passengers were confused inside the market. After about 10-12 minutes, when all the passengers gathered and boarded the train, it was 9 o'clock.

The vehicle was moving about one and a half hundred meters ahead. The security personnel were miking and asking them to 'go to a safe place and be alert as there is a big flood coming'.

But Amatya, the driver of a different nature, did not care. "That's the way it is, uncle, this kind of flood always comes, let's go," said the driver and started the car.
