Makwanpur. Two drivers have been arrested from Manhari Rural Municipality-9 Bhabar with 162 kg 794 grams of illegal drug marijuana.
Based on a special information, a police team deployed under the command of a police inspector from the area police office, Manhari, seized marijuana during a check on the inner road section of Bhabar on the 23rd at around 2:45 pm.
When the police tried to stop the car with the number Ba.P.01-025 Ch 0877 and the pick-up vehicle with the number G 2 Ch 615 coming from Bhabar towards Kharanga, the pick-up vehicle was taken into custody while it was trying to run away.
After that, 162 kg 794 grams of ganja in 13 pouches were recovered, wrapped in plastic and hidden in the seat of the car.
The driver of the car, Dev Narayan Mahato, 56, resident of Dhobaha, Madi Municipality-5, Chitwan, and the pickup driver, Tek Bahadur Dong, 48, resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality-24, have been detained.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the driver of the pick-up vehicle was skirting and brought the car forward. Ganja, both drivers and both vehicles were seized and brought to the local police office in Manhari. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
