Kathmandu. Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAN) has demanded full implementation of Trekking Information Management System (TIMS).
Similarly, it has requested to establish a 'Security and Relief Fund' for the safety of pedestrians and workers.
TAN President Sagar Pandey, while submitting a memorandum to Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel, said that the mandatory implementation of TEAMs should be implemented to make effective the systematic development of the tourism sector and disaster relief work.
The Nepal Tourism Board has set a team fee of Rs 2,000 for foreign tourists and Rs 1,000 for tourists from SAARC countries from February 2079. Tan requested that the 'online' system be organized by strictly implementing the decision.
Tan said that due to the severe flood that occurred in Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa on August 10, many tourists and support workers lost their lives, some of them are still missing and it is difficult to find their data and search due to the lack of teams. According to Tan, there is a problem during the disaster because there is no official information about how many tourists and workers from which countries are in which area due to the lack of team permits.
