21 August, Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that he is ready to make sacrifices on his part for the sake of party unity.

In today's meeting with Speaker Gagan Thapa, leader Koirala said that the country, democracy and nationalism are now in a difficult situation.

"He made it clear that there is no option for the party to be united," his secretariat said about the views expressed by Koirala in the meeting.

In response, Chairman Thapa said that he is also in favor of party unity.

In the meeting, the two leaders discussed the solution of the internal problems within the Congress party and the situation in the flood affected areas.

It has been informed that the latest situation in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading was also discussed.
