25 August, Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Member of Parliament Gangalakshmi Awal has said that the teams working to rescue the Rasuwa flood victims lack rescue materials.
Speaking at the emergency meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, she said that the rescue teams were lacking in rescue materials.
MP Awal also told the parliament meeting that Arun Sainju of Bhaktapur, who was involved in the rescue, had informed her that there was a shortage of rescue materials.
"Arun Sainju (of RNA-16) from Bhaktapur, who is in the rescue team from Timure, called me this morning and informed me that there is a lack of rescue equipment," she said. You are saying that there are no torches. He has said that the ropes have been cut.
According to MP Awal, Sainju has been rescuing flood-affected people with security personnel since August 10. "I want to request the government to provide the said rescue equipment immediately," she said.
She said that 25 people from Bhaktapur were without contact and one person died in Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa.
