Chitwan. BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital has informed that regular health services will be conducted on the day of BP Jayanti as well. The hospital has decided to operate all regular services from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24.
The hospital has informed that it has been decided to operate the service in view of the inconvenience that may be caused to the patients and service users who come for treatment due to the public holidays that have occurred in the last few days and the pressure that may increase in the hospital.
Information officer of the hospital, Ghri Narayan Mahato, said that due to the continuous public holidays, the number of patients will increase and the service will be conducted for half a day on the occasion of BP Jayanti. According to him, on a normal day, 700 to 1,500 patients visit the OPD of the hospital for treatment. He said, "At least the patients who came here will get services tomorrow. Other years there was a holiday on the day of BP Jayanti. This year we are going to issue a notification and keep the hospital open for half a day to provide services."
Acting Executive Director of the hospital, Dr. Umesh Nepal informed that OPD service tickets will be provided free of charge on the occasion of BP Jayanti. He said that the 'co-payment' fee for new and old registrations and OPD tickets registered under health insurance will not be charged tomorrow.
He informed that on normal days a fee of Rs 60 for new OPD registration and Rs 55 for old registration will not be charged tomorrow. He also informed that tomorrow the day will be celebrated by organizing various programs including garlanding the salik of BP Koirala in the hospital premises.
