One of the 16 people from Udaipur who went missing in the devastating flood in Rasuwa's Bhotekoshi river has been found dead.
The dead body of 40-year-old Mohan Bahadur Sarki of Bhorle, Katari Municipality-5, who had come to Rasuwa to do wage labour, was found in Chitwan.
After the flood, only 5 people went missing from Katari-5 Bhorle. One of them was safely contacted a few days ago, while Saraki's body was found among the remaining 4, according to the Katari area police office. Looking at the photo of the body received by the police, the relatives initially identified it as that of Mohan Bahadur.
DSP Upendra Kharel, head of the area police office, Katari, said that although the relatives have identified the body from the photo, the physical fact of the body is yet to be confirmed. He informed that Saraki's relatives are going to Chitwan on Friday to identify and identify the body.
21 citizens from various local levels of Udaipur went missing in the flood in Rasuwa. Among them were 3 Nepali army personnel, 2 hydropower project engineers and other workers working in powerhouses and tunnels.
So far 5 of them have been contacted alive. Among those who came in safe contact are 45-year-old Prem Rokka of Katari-5, Suman Tamang and Jeevan Tamang of Udaipurgarhi-1 Bahunitar, Bholaraj Karki of Triyuga Municipality-9 Gahirun and Anil Kami of Triyuga Municipality-2 Khaijanpur.
The remaining 15 citizens are still uncontacted. Even after a long time, the family members are in a state of shock as there is no news.
