However, with the passage of time, there is no trace of Bhanu Devkota, the 51-year-old brother who went missing in the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa.
Bhanu, the youngest of the three brothers, had set out on a pilgrimage to Mansarovar via Gosaikund. After the youngest member of the family was lost in the great calamity in the border area, elder Sharda Prasad and Maila's brother Hariprasad Devkota are currently living in the pain of deep loss and uncertainty.
According to Bhanu's niece Meena Devkota, all the family members and relatives are now searching for her. "Uncle was having regular phone conversations with Aunty Bima Rokaya (Devkota) until last August 9," Mina said with a sigh. Now, as the days pass by, the hope that he will come in safe contact is getting weaker.
According to Meena, Bhanu had set out on a pilgrimage with the spiritual guru Sadhguru's pilgrim group. After sending the other pilgrims to Mansarovara by helicopter from Rasuwagadhi crossing, he stopped near the border in preparation for his last flight. However, before it was time for him to ride, a catastrophic flood with rocks and stones came from above.
