17 August, Kathmandu. CPN-UML parliamentary party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' has said that a special task force should be formed under the leadership of the finance minister for reconstruction.

In the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Thapa said that the government should form a special task force under the leadership of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and a special task force under the leadership of the Minister of Finance for reconstruction for international cooperation, compensation and coordination after the disaster.

He also demanded that Prime Minister Balen Shah should make a qualitative change in his one-man rule and keep the parliament informed about the government's plans.

Badal also suggested the immediate initiative of building a mechanism involving political parties, civil society and experts to deal with the current crisis.

He also demanded the formation of a special parliamentary committee under the chairmanship of the Speaker to make the government aware, monitor and provide support.

Badal said, "The government should immediately proceed with the second edition of the Everest Dialogue to establish international solidarity and strategy to deal with the climate change crisis."
