Khotang. Diprung Chuichumma rural municipality has started service delivery from its newly constructed administrative office building. The contract for the construction of the building was signed on 30th June 2077. With the completion of a total of 27-room administrative office building after seven years, all the services of the rural municipality have been started from their own administrative office building since Sunday.
For the administrative building, an agreement was made with the contractor company Ravina-Avisa to complete the construction by 22 June 2080. Mukesh Gelal, information officer of the village, informed that the construction of the building was completed about six years and two months after the scheduled time.
The rural municipality had estimated the cost of Rs. The contractor company completed the construction at a cost of Rs 3 crore 75 lakh 49 thousand 332 including value added tax.
Rural Municipality President Lokendra Rai and Vice President Aruna Thapamgar officially opened the newly constructed administrative office building of the rural municipality on Sunday and started the service delivery. Addressing the opening of the building and administrative service launch program, village head Rai said that he is happy to provide services to the people from his own administrative office building of the village even though it is late.
The necessary furniture for the newly constructed buildings of the rural municipality has been purchased through the contractor company. An agreement was made with Indralakshmi Construction for the purchase of furniture for Rs 93 lakh 62 thousand 210.
The work, which was contracted on 31st August 2080, was to be completed by 20th May 2081. Information officer of the rural municipality, Gelal, informed that 64 lakh 33 thousand 555 rupees were spent on the purchase of furniture.
For the construction of the administrative office building of the rural municipality, the local donors have provided seven ropani and eight annas of land free of charge. Homprasad Rai, Harkaraj Rai, Bhavindra Rai and Indraprakash Rai, residents of Ward No. 5 Yangsolatar, have given the land in their name to the rural municipality for free.
The administrative building of the rural municipality, which was operated by constructing a temporary tower on the land provided free of charge by the local people, has been moved to a facility-equipped building, and service delivery has become easier. The people's representatives led by the then rural municipality chairman and state assembly member Bhupendra Rai started the construction of the administrative building.
