Kathmandu. China, Russia and Mongolia are going to start the second joint border defense exercise at the beginning of September.

The exercise, code-named Border Defense Cooperation 2026, will focus on preventing and combating espionage and sabotage activities in border areas.

The exercise will include joint planning, searches, coordinated attacks and arrests, as well as joint handover of suspects, the ministry said.

The purpose of this exercise is to further strengthen strategic mutual trust between the three neighboring countries, enable border defense cooperation and jointly protect security and stability in the border area.
