25 August, Kathmandu. The police have arrested four people on the charge of stealing and buying gold and silver jewellery.
Among those arrested are Sawan Kushwaha, 29 years old, resident of Mahottari Gaushala Municipality-5, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Pabitra Limbu, 36, resident of Tehrathum Atharai Rural Municipality-8, Srikrishna Vishwakarma, 25, resident of Dolakha Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-5, and Ramila Vick, 43, resident of Bhojpur Municipality-5 Bokhim, resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (32 Narefant).
It has come to light that Sawan, who stole the garment, and Pavitra, Shrikrishna and Ramila, who bought the jewellery, were among them. They were arrested by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Teku during the investigation of the theft of gold and silver jewelery from a house in Narefant, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32 on 18th July last.
Also, the police have recovered various gold and silver jewelery from them. They have been sent to District Police Complex Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
