23 August, Kathmandu. The earthquake was centered around Lomanthang in Mustang. According to Lokvijaya Adhikari, head of Earthquake Measurement Center, an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 took place.
The center reported that the earthquake occurred at 9:53 pm on Tuesday.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the epicenter of the Tuesday night earthquake was at a depth of about 35 kilometers from the surface of the earth.
The earthquake was felt in Tibet, along with Mustang in Nepal, along with Baglung along Dhaulagiri range and in different areas of the country.
The details of the damage caused by the earthquake have not been made public.
Recently, along with earthquakes in the Himalayan region, the risk of natural disasters such as landslides, avalanches and floods is also increasing.
