25 August, Kathmandu. The police have arrested four people on the charge of stealing and buying gold and silver jewellery.
Among those arrested are Sawan Kushwaha, 29, of Mahottari Gaushala Municipality-5, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Pabitra Limbu, 36, of Tehrathum Atharai Rural Municipality-8, Srikrishna Vishwakarma, 25, of Gourishankar Rural Municipality-5, Dolakha, and Ramila Vick, 43, of Bhojpur Municipality-5 Bokhim, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32 Narephant.
It has come to light that Sawan who stole the jewelery and Pabitra, Srikrishna and Ramila who bought the jewelery were among them.
They were arrested by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Teku during the investigation of the theft of gold and silver jewelery from a house in Narefant, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32 on July 18.
Also, the police have recovered various gold and silver jewelery from them.
They have been sent to District Police Complex Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
