Bhairahawa In the last three financial years, 234 poor citizens have received concession recommendations for the treatment of various complex diseases from Siddharthnagar municipality.
According to the health branch of the municipality, 47 people took the recommendation in the financial year 2080/81, 99 in 2081/82 and 88 in 2082/83.
According to Health Branch Head Madhav Gyawali, patients suffering from heart, kidney, cancer, head and spine related problems, sickle cell anemia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's can get treatment services from hospitals designated by the government on the recommendation of the local level.
Under this, the federal government will provide treatment services up to one lakh rupees and the Lumbini state government will provide treatment services up to two lakh rupees, he said. A certified document of the relevant disease will be required for the recommendation.
In Lumbini province, 20 hospitals and treatment centers have been designated for the treatment program for indigent citizens. Among them, Bheri Hospital Nepalgunj has been recognized for various diseases and Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal, Universal College of Medical Sciences Bhairahawa, Siddharth Nagar City Hospital, Gautam Buddha Community Heart Hospital etc.
