22 August, Kathmandu. The second edition of 'Late Sushil Kedia Sports Gala' has been completed. The competition started on August 17 at DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwabharti School in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur and ended on Monday, September 7.
1000 athletes from 98 schools participated in various sports in the sports gala.
DAV Blue has won the 8th Sushil Kedia Memorial Cup title for cricket. In the final, DAV Blue defeated DAV Yellow by 30 runs and won the title.
Similarly, the best player and best batsman of the tournament was Shekhar Shah of DAV Blue, best bowler Shreyash Awasthi of LRI School, budding player Ayush Shahi of Himalayan White House IB World School and best wicketkeeper Ronish Karanjit of DAV Yellow.
In the semi-finals, DAV Blue defeated Nepal Police School and DAV Yellow defeated Himalayan White House International School.
In other sports, Bal Deepaksha Sadan School became the winner in basketball and Holy Vision came second. On the women's basketball side, Gyande Bal Batika became the winner and Nisarga Batika came second.
In football, St. Xavier's came first, Chelsea second and EPS School third.
In table tennis, DAV stood first, AVM School stood second and Srishti Academy stood third.
In Badminton, Nepal Police School came first, St. Mary's came second and Galaxy Public School came third.
Similarly, while DAV was first in yoga, Asia Pacific second and Occidental Public School third, DAV was first in taekwondo, Srishti Academy second and Machhapuchhre IB World School third.
