21 August, Kathmandu. Nepal has entered the semi-finals of the ACC Premier Cup with its third win in a row. By defeating Saudi Arabia in the match held on Sunday, Nepal entered the semi-finals one game ahead.
Nepal found the target of 191 runs given by Saudi in 41 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. For Nepal, Gulshan Jha scored an unbeaten 44 and captain Rohit Paudel scored an unbeaten 24.
Before that, Ishan Pandey scored 40 runs and Dev Khanal scored 39 runs. Asif Sheikh scored 20 runs and Arjun Kumal scored 15 runs.
For Saudi, Istiqah Ahmed and Muhammad Atif took 2-2 and Mohammad Hisham took 1 wicket.
Before that, Saudi Arabia, who won the toss and batted first, scored 190 runs in 49.2 overs.
Abdul Waheed scored the highest 77 runs for Saudi. Mohammad Atif scored 30 runs. Mohammad Hisham Shaikh scored 18 runs.
For Nepal, captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 3 wickets by giving away 19 runs in 10 overs. Lalit Rajwanshi took 2 wickets by conceding 26 runs in 10 overs. Dipendra Singh Airi also took 3 wickets and Sher Malla took 1 wicket.
Earlier, Nepal defeated Bahrain and Malaysia.
Nepal will now face Hong Kong in the final match of the group stage on Tuesday. After that match, the group winners will be decided.
