19 August, Kathmandu. Goods coming for import at the Mustang Customs Office can be inspected at the Chobhar Dry Port Customs Office in Kathmandu.

For this, the customs department has designated a road route. Along with this, the goods imported from Mustang can be brought directly to Kathmandu without passing the inspection at the customs office.

According to the department, it has been decided to provide internal transport facilities by following the conditions, procedures and other arrangements set by the customs regulations until further decision.

In the case of cargo vehicles, the route has been fixed so that the vehicles entering from Korla checkpoint will reach Nechung-Chusang-Kagweni-Jomsom-Beni-Kusma-Pokhara-Damauli-Mugling-Kurintar-Naubise-Kalanki-Dry port customs office.

In case there is a problem on that route, a route has been designated so that vehicles can reach the dry port via Mugling-Narayanghat-Hetouda-Bhaise-Naubise-Kalanki-Chobhar.

For the time being, the route for the new vehicles to be transported has been fixed towards Hetouda. As the Rasuwagadhi canal was destroyed by the catastrophic flood, now the Korla canal in Mustang is being used as an alternative.
