The Lakhejatra Operating Committee, which organized the 4th Taplejung Gold Cup, has earned 38 lakh 29 thousand 900 rupees only from the entry fee, apart from the ticket package.

According to Dava Sherpa, treasurer of the Lakhejatra Steering Committee, the amount was collected from the quarter-final, semi-final and final matches of the competition.

According to him, 11 lakh 91 thousand 200 rupees have been collected from the four matches of the quarter finals, 6 lakh 5 thousand 700 rupees from the two matches of the semi-finals and 20 lakh 33 thousand rupees only from the final match.

According to this, the organizers have collected a total of 38 lakh 29 thousand 900 rupees from the sale of tickets to watch the matches of the tournament.

Treasurer Sherpa informed that 3 lakh 55 thousand 800 rupees were collected from the first match, 1 lakh 88 thousand 200 rupees from the second match, 2 lakh 61 thousand 400 rupees from the third match and 3 lakh 85 thousand 800 rupees from the fourth match.

Similarly, out of the two semi-final matches, 1 lakh 33 thousand 500 tickets were sold for the first and 7 lakh 72 thousand 200 rupees for the second match.

The organizers have collected 20 lakh 33 thousand rupees only from the final match which has a significant presence of spectators.

The organizers had fixed the entry fee of Rs 200 per ticket for the four matches of the quarter-finals, Rs 300 for the two matches of the semi-finals and Rs 500 for the final.

Similarly, a fee of Rs 3,000 per person was fixed to watch all the matches of the tournament with support under the ticket package.

But the details of how many tickets have been sold for the ticket package have not been confirmed, according to the organizer. Therefore, it seems that the total ticket income of the committee will be more than 38 lakh 29 thousand 900 rupees.

The winner of the 4th Taplejung Gold Cup received 7 lakh 2 thousand 83 rupees and the runner-up got 3 lakh 52 thousand 82 rupees along with trophy, medal and certificate.

Cardamom worth Rs 7,000 was awarded to the best performing man of the match in each match of the tournament. Also, the best players in seven categories were given prizes, according to the organizer.

Last year's winner Salhes Youth Club Siraha won the title of the 4th Taplejung Gold Cup for the second time in a row. Fidim Sporting Club Panchthar has been reduced to runners-up.

Along with the competition of the players in the competition, the significant participation of the audience has shown the attraction towards football in Taplejung and the commercial potential of sports activities at the local level.
